On Wednesday, Fireman Shane visited our students to talk about fire safety! He told us all about stop, drop, and roll, calling 911, crawling under the smoke when there is a fire and talking to our parents about a meeting spot if there ever is a fire in our homes.
I was lucky enough to get to try on the fireman uniform. This activity was to help the children not be afraid if they ever do encounter a fireman in his/her full gear.
The kids practiced crawling under smoke.
At the end, we practiced calling 911 for emergencies.
