Here is the video I made last round of exhibition to help you understand what I'm looking for in our presentations. Have fun practicing with your student over the next few days.
''
Here are some guidelines and tips for practicing. You can also find this information in your students folder tonight.
1.
The student
will introduce himself or herself and thank any family member for coming.
a.
Ex. “My
name is …. and I want to thank my
Mom and Dad for coming today.”
2.
The student
will tell the class what their exhibition is about.
a.
My exhibition is about …..”
3.
The student
will share the 5 facts he or she learned about their interest project.
a.
Ex. “This
is what I learned about ….”
b.
Be sure
they point to and explain any pictures on their board.
4.
When the
presentation ends the student needs to thank their audience and ask for
questions
a.
Ex. “Thank
you for listening to my exhibition. I’m ready for questions.”
b.
The student
will then be able to answer questions from peers and family in the audience.
Important Reminders:
o
Parents are not allowed to tell students what to
say or make comments during the student’s presentation.
o
Practice TONS! It’s very obvious when a student
has only practiced their exhibition the night before. Have your student give
their exhibition for family, friends, or even pets before their big day.
o
Have fun practicing and let me know if you need
any clarification ASAP!
