New Homework: Weekend Writing

Today you will see a journal in your student's folder. We are beginning weekend writing homework. Each Friday (or Thursday if we don't have school) your student will bring home this journal. I will glue a question for your student to write about on the next page available. Your student needs to write 2-3 sentences and draw a picture about the question. Please do NOT spell out all the words for your student. You may help them stretch out words they are struggling with. Sight words from their word ring should be spelled correctly. Do be sure they are using correct punctuation and lower and uppercase letters appropriately. Let me know if you have any questions about this new weekly homework assignment. Have fun writing!
